47,238 Gun Incidents In The U.S. In 2018

There have been 47,238 gun incidents across the United States in 2018.

As we reported last week, eleven people were killed, and at least six more were injured -- including four law enforcement officers -- when a gunman opened fire at a Pittsburgh synagogue Saturday morning.

As the nation comes to grips with yet another mass shooting carried out by an angry man with a gun, the Anti-Defamation League, which tracks anti-Semitism in the U.S., said the attack was "likely the deadliest attack on the Jewish community in the history of the United States."

In 2018, including this weekend's mass shooting at a synagogue in Pittsburgh, there have been 47,238 gun-related incidents resulting in 11,991 deaths.


Over 23,359 injuries from gun-related incidents were recorded so far this year.


Of the total gun deaths, 548 were children, while 2,321 were teenagers.


Most of the shootings have occurred in the Northeast and Southeast regions. Many of these areas have been de-industrialized over the years, which has resulted in widespread social and economic woes for its residents. It seems that the social costs of de-industrialization are finally being realized in gun-related violence.

What are the consequences for Russia? (1)


Three months before the final collapse of the Soviet Union, I managed to publish a warning article «Путь к бедствию» (Советская Россия, 26 июня 1991г.) The article concluded: “Ослабленный Союз может стать очередной жертвой жадных держав, стремящихся превратить СССР в колонию имериализма».

That was precisely the objective of US imperialism, the CIA and their reprehensible insidious “soviet” collaborators – Горбачев, Ельцин, КГБ >>>

«Стремящихся» (striving) is a key word here.

From the class standpoint, the undermining and eventual destruction of the USSR was a joint effort of imperialism – US imperialism in the first place – and “soviet” bourgeois collaborators who envisioned the accumulation of vast riches through expropriation of the prodigious wealth produced by soviet working people over the decades. An army of CIA collaborators, most notably in the KGB and in the Communist Party hierarchy – but not only there! - were the facilitators of treasonous counter-revolution.

Ельцин — Гайдар murderous shock therapy and privatization in the 1990s, all dictated by the United States and the international banking establishment, were determined steps in the direction of colonization of the former USSR.

However, the post-soviet objectives of the imperialist elite and the former “soviet,” now Russian bourgeoisie were not identical. In short, the Americans (and some Europeans) wanted decisive control of the Russia's wealth and political domination of the country, including its foreign policy. While the great majority of the Russian ruling class *, fighting for its own place in the capitalist sun, was forced to counter - however reluctantly, especially at the start - these wholly rapacious foreign strivings.

Three other major factors hampered external big capital from completely conquering Russia. (1)
This is a big country and simply could not be assimilated easily or in one large gulp. Absolutely massive foreign investment would have been required to completely take over the Russian economy, keep it from total collapse and integrate it fully with the outside capitalist world. That would have required a monumental shift of capital out of the capitalist countries themselves, which simply was not realistic. Moreover, with the demise of the Soviet Union, Russia's political and social situation was far from stable – putting foreign capital investment at significant risk.

(2) Mass anger directed against the horrible consequences of monumental thievery of Russia's resources and wealth, against the imposition of overtly exploitative conditions and against generalized impoverishment had the distinct potential of creating an explosive political and social situation in the country. All of this on the backdrop of the earlier lavish promises of how absolutely wonderful life would become in a “market economy.” The resulting mass disappointment and anger was palpable.

(3) The Russian Federation itself was in danger of disintegrating. The CIA-sponsored reactionary separatist uprising in Chechya was intended to become merely the first big step in fracturing the country. "Russia is a multi-national state with over 185 ethnic groups designated as nationalities” (Ethnic groups in Russia, Wikipedia). Breaking up Russia into a multitude of smaller, more easily digestible entities – as in fact happened to Yugoslavia – was an important objective of US-led imperialism, but was clearly inimical to the interests of the Russian bourgeoisie as a whole.

Alcoholic, sick and blundering Борис Ельцин had to go. Russia was still a nuclear power and the country's potential descent into chaotic destruction was in no one's interest. No foreign investment would be safe in such a situation, and if nuclear conflict broke out... well, God forbid.

It was also in the US's interests that a more competent leadership emerge in the Russian Federation. There can be no doubt that Владимир Путин was selected as the replacement of Ельцин with the full approval of the American powers-that-be. Ельцин, the first Russian president was a total, life-long and corrupt stooge of United States imperialism. It was inconceivable that he would turn over power to anyone other than someone who also was beholden to America and its CIA.

The Untouchable US-Saudi Relation Is A Core Element Of US Imperialism

After the dollar was withdrawn from the gold standard, Washington made an arrangement with Riyadh to price oil solely in dollars. In return, the Saudis received protection and were granted a free hand in the region. This decision forced the rest of the world to hold a high amount of US dollars in their currency reserves, requiring the purchase of US treasuries. The relationship between the US dollar and oil breathed new life to this currency, placing it at the centre of the global financial and economic system. This privileged role enjoyed by the dollar allowed the United States to finance its economy through the simple process of printing its fiat currency.


As long as the US continues to maintain its dominance of the global financial and economic system, thanks to the dollar, its supremacy as a world superpower is hardly questioned. To maintain this influence on the currency markets and the special-drawing rights (SDR) basket, the pricing of oil in US dollars is crucial. This explains, at least partially, the impossibility of scaling down the relationship between Washington and Riyadh.

The initial agreements between the Saudis and the Americans concerned the petrodollar; but after the Islamic revolution in Iran in 1979 (Iran’s nationalist prime minister, Mohammad Mosaddegh, had been previously overthrown by the US and UK in 1953), Riyadh and Washington decided to declare war on their common enemy, with the hearty approval of Israel. The cooperation between Riyadh and Washington became even closer in the 1980s, through the common campaign against the USSR in Afghanistan through the use of jihadists recruited, trained and armed by the Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and the US secret services. The use of jihadist terrorism as a geopolitical weapon has been a main feature of Riyadh’s statecraft.

Riyadh assumed a triple role, namely, that of being the guarantor of the petrodollar, a facilitator in the use of Islamic terrorism as a geopolitical weapon, and a regional opponent of Iran.

The House of Saud has been free to run its country according to the strict strictures of Wahhabism without Western interference; and Washington enjoys a capacity for unlimited military spending simply through the printing of debt in the form of government bonds that are immediately acquired by other countries. Washington has effectively been printing waste paper and obtaining consumer goods in return, a state of affairs that has allowed the United States to squander six trillion dollars in wars in Iraq and Afghanistan without suffering significant economic consequences.

A crisis in relations with Saudi Arabia is unthinkable for Washington, especially when the region now seems to be guided by an axis that starts from Tehran and ends in Beirut, including Baghdad and Damascus. Breaking up with the Saudis would have had unimaginable repercussions for the US’s hegemonic position, and this is something Washington can ill afford at the moment.

The use of jihadism and petrodollars as political and financial weapon against Washington’s adversaries is reason enough to quickly forget Jamal Khashoggi and go back to ignoring the abuses committed by Saudi Arabia. The US cannot afford to renounce some of the most potent weapons in its arsenal to wield against its geopolitical foes.

Does Lockshin overstate the role of the American Gestapo and its lackeys?

The attacks are coordinated between the US and USSR/Russia. The US secret political police are the dominant partner. Unquestionably. The KGB and then the FSB were/are the fetid ass-licking, traitorous underlings.


Conspiracy theorist?...

Any discourse such as mine immediately and forcefully comes under the official/semi-official derisive heading of “conspiracy theory.”

What is the basis of this argument? “Democracy” and the “rule of law.”

Because the United States of America is God's gift to man (or is it man's gift to God?) and “democracy” somehow supremely reigns. The “America First!” country and its police/secret police are allegedly constrained by a system of “checks and balances” where the “law” is supreme.

The CIA-controlled mass media – in the US and in Russia – ardently disseminate and endlessly repeat this unmitigated, reactionary and dangerous bullshit.

Once the “democracy” myth is exploded, conspiracy is not only logical but indispensable.

The secret political police get well paid for ruthlessly defending and promoting the bastard imperialist system by dismantling and destroying genuine dissent. The American and the American-Russian Gestapo are not prone to advertising their vicious provocations and assaults. They employ whatever deceptive and, if need be, murderous devices required to achieve ruling class aims. Thus, they engage in conspiracy.

Thus they fervently deny engaging in conspiracy.

In fact, the secret political police are enormously important and enormously powerful. They are as essential in maintaining the rule of capital as the armed forces and regular police! The Gestapo is a viable and crucial alternative to going to war with every foreign opponent, to using overtly coercive means against every domestic opponent.

The secret political police have sway over virtually everyone within the given country. Who is brave enough or foolish enough to refuse compliance with them? The modern-day Gestapo has vast financial means at its disposal; it can both punish and reward without outsiders becoming the wiser.

I exaggerate nothing about the secret political police – not in the United States itself nor about their stooges in Russia.

CIA's 'Surveillance State' Is Operating Against Us All

The CIA upper echelon has secretly developed all kinds of policy statements and legal rationales to justify routine, widespread surveillance on U.S. soil of citizens who aren’t suspected of terrorism or being a spy.


The latest outrage is found in newly declassified documents from 2014. They reveal the CIA not only intercepted emails of U.S. citizens but they were emails of the most sensitive kind — written to Congress and involving whistleblowers reporting alleged wrongdoing within the Intelligence Community.

According to the CIA, the spy agency has been limited since the 1970s to collecting intelligence “only for an authorized intelligence purpose; for example, if there is a reason to believe that an individual is involved in espionage or international terrorist activities” and “procedures require senior approval for any such collection that is allowed.”

But here’s where it gets ugly. It turns out the CIA claims it must engage in “routine counterintelligence monitoring of government computers” to make sure certain employees aren’t doing bad things. Poof! Now, all kinds of U.S. citizens and their communications can be swept into the dragnet — and it’s deemed perfectly legal. It’s just an accident or “incidental,” after all, if the CIA happens to pick up whistleblower communications with the legislative branch.


Today, we’ve grown numb. Outrage has been replaced by a cynical, “Who’s surprised about that?” or the persistent belief that “Nothing’s really going to be done about it,” and, worst of all, “What’s so bad about it, anyway?”

The evidence points to our Intelligence Community increasingly spying on its own citizens, journalists, members of Congress and political enemies for the better part of two decades, if not longer.

США запустили механизм введения "драконовских санкций" против России

В США запустили механизм рассмотрения пакета мер против России, получившего неофициальное название "драконовские санкции".

Первый пакет ограничений был введен еще в конце августа 2018 года как реакция США на отравление в Британии бывшего полковника ГРУ Сергея Скрипаля и его дочери Юлии малоизвестным нервно-паралитическим веществом.

Конгресс дал России 90 дней на то, чтобы объяснить ситуацию с отравлением Скрипалей в Солсбери, а также предоставить гарантии, что больше не будет производить и использовать химическое оружие.

"Сегодня мы сообщили Конгрессу, что российское правительство не выполнило ранее озвученные критерии. Следовательно, запускается механизм введения второго раунда санкций", - пояснил Би-би-си представитель Госдепа.

Второй пакет санкций подразумевает введение жестких ограничений в отношении России.
Запрет для американских банков на предоставление кредитов правительству России, если это не кредиты на покупку продуктов питания или сельскохозяйственной продукции.
Практически полный запрет на взаимную торговлю. Исключение составляет экспорт из США товаров сельскохозяйственного сектора.
Ограничение или заморозка дипломатических отношений между США и правительством России.
Запрет на авиаперелеты компаниям, которые контролируются правительством страны. Под эту норму подпадает "Аэрофлот".

Речь идет о запрете на любые контракты и сделки между правительством США и людьми из "черного" списка. Кроме того, запрещается импорт в США продукции или услуг, произведенных теми, кто попал под санкции, или связанными с ними компаниями.

И это еще не все. Паралельно с "драконовскими санкциями" в Конгрессе США рассматривается и законопроект, который его авторы окрестили "санкциями из ада".

В экономической части законопроекта содержится запрет на операции и замораживание активов в США семи российских банковских структур, уже находящихся в санкционном режиме, в том числе Сбербанка, ВТБ, ВЭБа и Промсвязьбанка.

На практике это будет означать невозможность для этих банков стандартных долларовых расчетов через корсчета в банках США. Кроме этого, текст содержит фактический запрет на операции с российским госдолгом со сроком обращения более двух недель.

Документ предлагает распространить мониторинг нарушения санкций на деятельность страховых компаний и другие пункты, а также признать Россию государством, спонсирующим терроризм.

An increasing number of public colleges are unaffordable for low-income students

Public colleges are failing in their historic mission as economic engines of mobility.


In the popular imagination, public colleges are a place where a state’s students from all walks of life can gather, learn from each other and earn the type of education that will help them succeed beyond graduation. But new research suggests many of these schools are becoming increasingly out of reach for low-income students.

At 52% of public colleges, students paid at least $10,000 annually to attend during the 2015-2016 academic year, according a report released Wednesday by New America, a Washington-based think tank. That’s up from just 34% of public colleges in the 2010-2011 academic year.

“That’s just incredibly alarming,” said Stephen Burd, a senior policy analyst with the Education Policy program at New America and the author of the report. “Particularly for the lowest income students [public colleges] are getting out of reach.”

During the Great Recession and, in its wake, states cut funding to public colleges, pushing them to look elsewhere for revenue, including towards students who pay more to attend.

If more public schools continue to get more expensive for low-income students, it raises the question as to whether higher education becomes part of the problem rather than the solution to making the nation more equitable.

There is a better way...

The US secret political police murders of John F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr., did not pass without serious negative consequences for the American ruling class and its barbarous henchmen.

Albeit, Arnold Lockshin has nowhere near the public exposure that Kennedy and King had. Still...

More important than this or that target of the American Gestapo and their collaborators is the long-term sustainability of US imperialism and its domination of most of the world. The United States of America is a police state dictatorship (see my series Dictatorship USA), but it is crucial to maintain the fiction that the country and its brutal world-wide exploitation system are somehow “democratic.”

Preserving the utterly fallacious pretense that the US is “democratic” limits the exercise of overtly brutal, lethal force in all circumstances. Gross political deceit about American “freedom” and “justice” simultaneously promotes the viability, credibility and effectiveness of the worldwide US-led lie, spy, criminal, provocation, subversion and regime change, terror, drug-runnning, torture, war and mass murder apparatus known sweetly as the “intelligence community.”

These considerations operate in Russia, as well. What is especially bad for Russia is that the secret political police here are abject stooges of a foreign power – the United States of America and its brutal and fascist CIA.

What if outright reactionary and brutal goals – small and big, including murder - can be achieved by far more subtle, indirect, hidden means? Why not develop tools and stratagems that can accomplish these same objectives while shielding the perpetrators and maintaining the illusion of democracy? Even if these methodologies are more devious, complex and expensive... but at the same time have the fallback rationale of plausible denial.

Do not be deceived by occasional retreats by the savage political police. If the target adroitly resists succumbing to a particular ploy and/or if there is a danger of disclosure of the overall plot, the CIA and its flunkies are perfectly capable of making tactical retreats. With the aim of backing off a particular unproductive venture and seeking new avenues of attack. Finally allowing me to become a Russian citizen was one such retreat (Section 12), and a careful reading of this series will disclose other backdowns by the Gestapo. *


We are talking about psychological warfare. About covert attacks against the victim, who does not comprehend – most often, until it is too late – that he is under vicious, even life-threatening attack. About deviously provoking the victim to make “his own” mistakes and/or exploiting objective difficulties - like being afflicted with cancer (Sections 22 - 24).

The attacks against me fall into this framework.

“Each disruptive or provocative incident itself (is) carefully constructed to make it appear more or less normal.” (Silent Terror, p. 85) The principle of plausible denial (Silent Terror, p. 64) is carefully interwoven in psychological warfare operations in order for the Gestapo perpetrators to elude responsibility.

Income Inequality’s Most Disturbing Side Effect: Homicide

Where financial disparities are greatest, the murder rate tends to be high.

Income inequality can cause all kinds of problems across the economic spectrum—but perhaps the most frightening is homicide. Inequality—the gap between a society's richest and poorest—predicts murder rates better than any other variable, according to Martin Daly, a professor emeritus of psychology at McMaster University in Ontario, who has studied this connection for decades.

It is more tightly tied to murder than straightforward poverty or drug abuse. And research conducted for the World Bank finds that both between and within countries, about half the variance in murder rates can be accounted for by looking at the most common measure of inequality.

The murders most associated with inequality, it seems, are driven by a perceived lack of respect. Like most killings, these are mostly perpetrated by males—and in societies with low inequality, there tend to be very few murders.

Some argue that the real issue is poverty, not inequality. For example, William Pridemore, dean of criminology at the University at Albany, S.U.N.Y., says that the inequity correlation is a methodological artifact.

It takes a while for people to recognize their loss of status as the middle class erodes and they either plummet downward or join the tiny minority at the top. Indeed, murder rates in the U.S. have lately stopped falling and may even be ticking upward. And we have seen rises in what have been labeled “deaths of despair,” such as suicide and opioid overdoses, which research also link with inequality.

Another possible explanation is that as richer people retreat into ever more exclusive communities, their virtual disappearance masks rises in local inequality that are felt by former neighbors. A society in which millions struggle to pay their student loans and make a decent living while watching U.S. secretary of education Betsy DeVos—a woman of enormous wealth—cut the education budget and protect predatory for-profit schools is unlikely to be a safe and stable one.

Saudi Arabia, Israel and the Euro-American Empire are at the root of so much bloodshed, it becomes impossible to even list the atrocities.


President Donald Trump’s comments regarding the murder of Saudi journalist, Jamal Khashoggi, aptly reflect the true nature of the power brokers that he represents. Instead of the usual “Empire-speak” statements, hypocritically condemning Khashoggi’smurder, Trump is saying, as the leader of one rogue state, to another, that was the “worst cover up ever” boys.


The European/American Empires, Israel and Saudi Arabia constitute a powerful and deadly axis of evil. A convergence of Imperialism, Zionism and Wahhabism, these powers are part of a diabolical scheme to re-shape the so-called Middle-East and Africa.

Prior to his murder, Jamal Khashoggi was not well known globally, and this is certainly not the first time the House of Saud has murdered critics of the regime. Even members of the so-called royal family have disappeared. Who better to talk about cover-ups than the president of the US, whose security agencies have been involved in some of the most shameful cover-ups of all time, and have, from the establishment of what is known as the United States, murdered or imprisoned any serious opponents, both internal and external?

The security apparatus of Rogue State USA, acting on orders from the top, murdered Malcolm X, Dr. Martin Luther King, members of the Black Panther Party and AIM (American Indian Movement) to name just a few. Who they did not kill, they imprisoned on trumped up charges, including activists like Leonard Peltier, Russell Means, Dennis Banks, Sundiata Acoli, Jalil Abdul Muntaqim, Mumia Abu Jamal, Geronimo Pratt, Jamal al Amin (formerly Rap Brown) and countless others.

Externally, the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), is infamous for assassinating leaders and toppling regimes that are perceived as posing a threat to the Euro-American hegemon. These are the people who drove around with the body of Patrice Lumumba in a car boot for three days, and who, in collaboration with the French, dissolved the body of Moroccan revolutionary, Mehdi Ben Barka, in a vat of acid. They know about cover-ups.

Khashoggi is now on a long list of literally millions of people that have been wiped out by members of this axis of evil. From the genocide of the Indigenous peoples all over the earth, through the trade in captured Africans, the long period of colonization and imperialism and their wars of terror, the brutal occupation of Palestine, the dropping of nuclear bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, right up to ISIS’s murderous rampage under the guise of Islam, and the genocidal war in Yemen, these entities are at the root of so much bloodshed, murder and genocide, that it becomes impossible to even list the atrocities, there are simply too many. It has literally been an unending killing spree.

This time, the spotlight is on the House of Saud, simply because they bungled the cover-up.

Donald Trump borrows from the old tricks of fascism

The governing principle of the Trump administration is an old fascist trick. As we see in the president’s reactions to American rightwing terrorism, he will always claim victimhood for himself and shift blame to the actual victims. As we see in the motivations of the terrorists themselves, and in the long history of fascism, this maneuver can lead to murder.

The Nazis claimed a monopoly on victimhood. Mein Kampf includes a lengthy pout about how Jews and other non-Germans made Hitler’s life as a young man difficult. After stormtroopers attacked others in Germany in the early 1930s, they made a great fuss if one of their own was injured. The Horst Wessel Song, recalling a single Nazi who was killed, was on the lips of Germans who killed millions of people. The second world war was for the Nazis’ self-defense against “global Jewry”.

According to Adolph Hitler, Jews inculcated ideas, such as that of individual rights, that drew people away from their natural bloodlust. Since Jews are supposedly responsible, they are blamed when people beyond the dominant group exercise rights. The only response, thought Hitler, was to remove Jews from the planet. The accused Pittsburgh murderer (“all Jews must die”) thought in just this way.

In the United States today, Trump, like Hitler, claims that reporters who seek the facts are liars and enemies. Naturally, the president denies responsibility when people take him at his word. Trump blames the press for attempts to murder members of the press. He seizes the occasion, as always, to present himself as the true victim.

Trump can lead fascist chants at rallies, encourage his supporters to use violence, praise a politician who attacked a journalist, muse that Hillary Clinton should be assassinated, denigrate the intelligence of African Americans, associate migrants with criminality, run an antisemitic advertisement, spread the Nazi trope of Jews as “globalists”, and endorse the antisemitic idea that a Jewish financier is responsible for political opposition – but he and his followers will puff chests and swell sinuses if anyone points this out.

Trump strikes a fascist pose and then denies responsibility for his words and actions.

So why don't the CIA-FSB just kill Arnold Lockshin outright? (2)

The blatant, undisguised murder of Arnold Lockshin is always open for consideration and implementation by the secret political police, whether in the US or in Russia. It simply has not been the preferable approach to the issue. So far.

“The US intelligence agency CIA has since 1945 succeeded in deposing or killing a string of leaders around the world – either directly or, more often, using sympathetic local military, locally hired criminals or pliant dissidents.” (TheGuardian, May 5, 2017)

For the monstrous US lie, spy, criminal, provocation, subversion and regime change, terror, drug-runnning, torture, war and mass murder apparatus – the US secret political police – and for its stooges around the world, there are not the slightest moral, ethical, legal etc. qualms about murdering opponents of US imperialism. Whether they are leaders or simply honest, relatively unknown progressive people.

Point blank murder is far from always the preferable means of eliminating opponents.

Let us backtrack to the US secret political police murders of two prominent Americans: US President John F. Kennedy and civil rights and peace leader Martin Luther King, Jr.

No, I do not claim to have the stature or renown of these two victims. But their murders are nonetheless relevant to my case.

The John F. Kennedy assassination...

John Kennedy was assassinated in 1963 in Dallas, Texas by Cuban counter-revolutionaries and Mafia hit-men operating under the command of the CIA. The American Gestapo and ruling elite scapegoated one of their own agents, former US marine Lee Harvey Oswald (who on CIA orders once had “defected” to the Soviet Union and later returned to the States). Just two days after Kennedy's murder, Oswald himself was shot dead – right in the Dallas police station! - to prevent him from testifying and exposing the real murder plot.

The operation was a great success: both the victim and the fall guy were eliminated. But the problems did not end there. For over half a century, there has been enormous distrust of the official version that Oswald, with no other motive than unexplainable “jealousy,” while working in a building far away from Kennedy's moving motorcade repeatedly fired an obsolete Italian rifle with unerring accuracy and fatally wounded the President.

The Oswald fable is a total lie. Kennedy, the scion of two big-time multimillionaire criminal families, was no progressive but was concerned about the massive and dangerous overreach of the United States. He refused to approve an American invasion of Cuba after the failed Bay of Pigs operation (1962), considered how to lessen the threat of a US-USSR mutual nuclear holocaust and balked about greatly expanding US military involvement in Vietnam (which later was ordered by his successor Lyndon Johnson).

These policies brought John Kennedy into direct confrontation with the US “intelligence community,” the Pentagon and most of the ruling elite. These permanent ultra-reactionary forces in American society ordered Kennedy's assassination.

Mass suspicion – in the United States, but not only there – of the official fake version of Kennedy's murder has never gone away. «Kennedy’s assassination had some policy/political effects, but probably its most lasting effect is the distrust in government it led to.» (Quora, May 16, 2013)

In a recemt attempt to again quell public doubts about official Washington's lying version, the CIA “released” more documents, purportedly relating to the November 1963 presidential murder. After publication of this material, there is no evidence of any significant change in public opinion.

About the only item of note was “a memorandum written by J. Edgar Hoover only two days after Kennedy’s death, clearly expressed the FBI Director’s view of the investigation that it was necessary to “convince the public that Oswald is the real assassin.” (The Irish Echo, Nov. 22, 2017)

The Martin Luther King assassination...

“The life and death of Martin Luther King, Jr. are crucial to understanding modern-day American political realities and the FBI's (the domestic American Gestapo) role within the United States. In the post-World War II era, King was the unparalleled mass leader for progressive social change in America. He was internationally prominent for leading courageous struggles for civil rights, economic justice and peace. King's stature, even after death, compelled Congress to investigate the plot that led to his assassination on April 4, 1968.” (Silent Terror, p. 72)

“It is a testament to King's extraordinary heroism and unbreakable character that he never stopped struggling for justice and peace although he knew he was in mortal danger. Less than 24 hours before his death, King made his last eloquent speech...

“While the nation and world mourned his death, FBI agents were delighted and 'jumped for joy,' exclaiming 'they got the son-of-a-bitch!'” (Silent Terror, p. 74)

According to US powers-that-be mythology, James Earl Ray, a white man, all by himself, (a) knew exactly where King would be staying; (b) without attracting attention was able to procure a room in an all-Black area of highly segregated Memphis, Tennessee (c) which was located directly across from the balcony of his target's motel room; and (d) fired a single lethal shot to King's head. It defies logical explanation to believe that Ray alone could have ascertained King's accommodations and situated himself perfectly for murder.

“The King family and others believe that the assassination was carried out by a conspiracy involving the U.S. government... and that Ray was a scapegoat. In 1999 the King family filed a wrongful death lawsuit... alleging a government conspiracy” (Assassination of Martin Luther King Jr., Wikipedia). «The jury, concluding on December 8, found that... governmental agencies had been part of a conspiracy. The King family has since concluded that Ray did not have anything to do with the murder of Martin Luther King Jr.» (James Earl Ray, Wikipedia).

“The King assassination riots... was a wave of civil disturbance which swept the United States following the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. on April 4, 1968. They were the greatest wave of social unrest the United States experienced since the Civil War.” (King assassination riots, Wikipedia)

In an attempt to cover up their crime, the US Government reluctantly approved an American federal holiday Martin Luther King Jr. Day, which is celebrated every year on the occasion of King's birthday.

Even the best laid plans of US Gestapo murderers often go awry.

In spite of secret political police control of the US (and not only US!) mass media, phony government commissions and inquiries, it has proven impossible to quell mass disquiet over the
multitudinous horrendous crimes of US imperialism, the CIA etc. – along with their collaborators.

It would be an exaggeration to say that the police state dictatorship that is the USA (see my series Dictatorship USA) is currently threatened by public anger over this or that murder or atrocity. New York City Now Has Record Number Of Homeless Students

The number of homeless students in New York City reached an all-time high for the school year that ended in June, according to a new study.

The surge in homeless children occurred in a period where the Trump administration has proclaimed today to be the "greatest economy ever."

Data from the New York State Technical and Education Assistance Center for Homeless Students revealed a record 114,659 students were in temporary housing for the 2017-18 school year, up almost 3% from 111,562 in the 2016-17 year.

That equates to roughly 10% of all students enrolled in NYC schools are homeless. The figure is more than double the rate from the GFC 2007-08 era!

Government studies have shown that students without homes are less likely to meet grade-level standards for reading and math, and graduate from high school on time.

More shelters are needed to tackle the rise in homelessness. Some shelters in the city could soon reach full capacity.

A school district in the Bronx had an unbelievable 10,000 homeless students. In one school alone, over 40% of the students had been homeless at some point.


With a record amount of homeless children running, it is time for President Trump to stop touting the stock market and focus on the real economy before the next recession strikes.

Trade war impact deepens across Asia, but real economic shock yet to hit

Reuters, Nov. 1, 2018


The economic impact of the intensifying trade war between Washington and Beijing appeared to deepen last month with factory activity and export orders weakening across Asia, but analysts warned the worst was yet to come.


In a sign conditions for exporters and factories were deteriorating, manufacturing surveys showed marginal growth in China, a slowdown in South Korea and Indonesia and a contraction in activity in Malaysia and Taiwan.

Those figures follow weaker-than-expected industrial production data from Japan and South Korea on Wednesday, with output in the latter shrinking the most in over 1-1/2 years.


Worryingly, the prospects for higher U.S. rates could feed back more market pain for the region’s externally vulnerable economies — Indonesia, India and the Philippines, which have already been forced to raise rates to mitigate a sell-off in currencies, stocks and bonds.

The real economic shock is yet to come.

As Overdose Deaths Soar To Record Highs, The US Government Approves New Painkiller That's 1,000X More Powerful Than Morphine

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved a powerful new opioid painkiller that's 10 times stronger than fentanyl - the deadly synthetic opioid that's been blamed for the record number of drug overdose deaths recorded in 2017 - and 1,000 times more powerful than morphine, ignoring the objections of its own advisory committee in the process.


The FDA approved the drug after official data showed 2017 was the deadliest year for overdose deaths in US history, with more than 70,000 recorded drug-related fatalities, many of which were caused by powerful synthetic opioids like the main ingredient in Dsuvia, the brand name under which the new painkiller will be sold. Dsuvia is a 3-millimeter sublingual tablet of sufentanil made by AcelRx.

The FDA rejected any and all criticisms related to Dsuvia being sold as a street drug through diversion (when doctor-prescribed drugs are illicitly sold on the black market). But critics said that, given its potency, Dsuvia would for sure be diverted at some level.


For Dsuvia's manufacturer, AcelRx, public health risks pale in comparison to the enormous profits that the company stands to reap from sales. The company anticipates $1.1 billion in annual sales, and hopes to have its product in hospitals early next year.

When the FDA says Dsuvia is needed in the hospital setting, it isn't telling the whole story. The medication's development was financed in part by the US Department of Defense.

So why don't the CIA-FSB just kill Arnold Lockshin? (1)

They've been trying. Trying hard. Trying repeatedly.

From the beginning of my forced American exile to the Soviet Union.

-1: The original plan called for initially giving me nation-wide publicity as I spoke out against American imperialism and the US police state dictatorship. Then to torment and force “crazy” Lockshin back to the States, where he would “commit suicide” - that is, be murdered (see Sections 4-8 of this series). My murder was/is an integral, essential part of the entire CIA-KGB program against me.

-2: The intricate plot to leave me penniless and deprive me of any means of sustenance was what if not attempted murder?

“Look at the facts. (1) The CIA-FSB had had me fired from the cancer center; (2) the CIA-FSB prevented me from earning a living by teaching English or in any way using my language skills; (3) the CIA could easily stop my Social Security retirement benefits – which in fact they did at the end of 2003! ** (4) Without my паспорт, I could not even collect my Russian pension***.” (Section 17)

-3: The obligatory exchange of my (Soviet to Russian) passport would have allowed stooge slut-”wife” Lauren Brown to clean out all my bank accounts while I was helpless to stop it (Sections 17-18).

-4: The repeated and protracted effort to impel me to come to the US Embassy to “solve” my Social Security “problem” ** was another murder attempt. Arnold Lockshin's planned fate: enter the embassy >>> be forced back to the US >>> my death.

-5: The plot to starve Arnold Lockshin to death – literally, to death – was continued even after I successfully attained my new Russian passport. The principle mechanism: a contrived and fake but potentially disastrous court suit filed by presumptive biological “son” Jeffrey – and supported by all the other members of the “family” - to drain all my life-sustaining funds (Sections 19 and 20). Had this ruinous suit achieved its aim, then the CIA-FSB would have moved against my last source of survival – my Russian old-age pension. Goodbye pension, *** goodbye sustenance.

-6: The subsequent concerted FSB – Lockshin “family” effort to discover where I had disposed of my funds and their thievery at home were continuations of this plot.

If someone believes I am too fixated on the money aspect, I urge you to consider the reality of the situation. Many people have someone to fall back on in an financial emergency. Moreover, very few people are the persistent targets of an enormously powerful secret political police apparatus, systematically aiming at their destruction.

I, on the other hand, have absolutely no one to fall back on. My “family” is tied hand and foot to the American-Russian Gestapo and is impatiently awaiting my death; not a whisper of a chance of help there (which I would never ask for). Anyone seeking to genuinely befriend me would be sternly threatened by the CIA-ass-licking FSB to back off - or else. What ordinary person would risk disobeying the all-powerful secret political police?

Depriving me of any and all savings and income sources would be my inescapable demise. Period.

-7: The malicious fake “diagnosis” of my life-threatening colon cancer was another egregious attempt to put me away for good (Sections 22-24).

Upon presentation at the hospital, it was evident that the most likely root of my serious health problems was a malignant tumor – as I myself postulated and which turned out to be the case.

Far from being a rare disease, colorectal cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer-related deaths. «Colorectal cancer is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in women in the United States and the second leading cause in men. It is expected to cause about 50,260 deaths during 2017.» (American Cancer Society, 2017)

“In 2012, there were 525,931 new cases of cancer registered in Russia (240,938 in men and 284,993 in women). The most common malignancy in Russian men was lung cancer (51.4 per 100,000), followed by prostate cancer (30.1 per 100,000) and colorectal cancer (30.0 per 100,000).” (Medscape, April 25, 2014)

Only 28% Of Americans Are Financially Healthy

42% of Americans have no retirement savings at all and that only 28% of Americans are “financially healthy.”


Despite optimistic metrics like a nine-year-long bullish, if volatile, stock market, low unemployment levels, and consumer confidence levels nearing record highs, millions of Americans continue to struggle, a study released Thursday from financial consultancy nonprofit the Center for Financial Services Innovation (CFSI) found.


Only 28% of Americans are considered “financially healthy.” “Financial health enables family stability, education, and upward mobility, not just for individuals today but across future generations,” the CFSI says. “Many are dealing with an unhealthy amount of debt, irregular income, and sporadic savings habits.”

Meanwhile, 17% of Americans struggle with nearly all financial aspects of their lives, and 55% struggle with some but not all aspects of their financial lives.

These depressing financial health statistics is that they are this bad even though America is currently experiencing its largest household wealth bubble in history.

Unfortunately, this wealth boom is not a sustainable, permanent wealth increase, but an artificial, Fed-driven bubble that is going to burst with disastrous effects. If America’s personal financial health is this bad right now, just imagine how much worse it will be when our household wealth bubble bursts!

The U.S. "Cannot Win Militarily" In Afghanistan, Says Top Commander

This past week the newly-appointed American general in charge of US and NATO operations in Afghanistan made a bombshell, historic admission. He conceded that the United States cannot win in Afghanistan.

Speaking to NBC News last week, Gen. Austin Scott Miller made his first public statements after taking charge of American operations, and shocked with his frank assessment that that the Afghan war cannot be won militarily and peace will only be achieved through direct engagement and negotiations with the Taliban — the very terror group which US forces sought to defeat when it first invaded in 2001.


In total the United States has spent well over $840 billion fighting the Taliban insurgency while also paying for relief and reconstruction in a seventeen-year long war that has become more expensive, in current dollars, than the Marshall Plan, which was the reconstruction effort to rebuild Europe after World War II.


Since 2017, the Taliban have held more Afghan territory than at any time since the American invasion. In just one week last month, the insurgents killed 200 Afghan police officers and soldiers, overrunning two major Afghan bases and the city of Ghazni.

The American military says the Afghan government effectively “controls or influences” 56 percent of the country. But that assessment relies on statistical sleight of hand. In many districts, the Afghan government controls only the district headquarters and military barracks, while the Taliban control the rest.

California's Middle Class Is Disappearing As Elites Drive Wealth Gap Ever Wider

The Golden State remains one of the most unequal in the nation. It has both billions of dollars in Silicon Valley and rampant homelessness. With the middle class leaving in droves, California society represents a modern feudal system of robber barons and the poor.


Gross domestic product in California is now above $2.7 trillion, which represents just under 14 percent of the entire United States economy. The topline numbers are a bit misleading, as the state represents a similar 12 percent of the national population. The state has long been fortunate to be the center of the booming technology sector. Part of the growth was due to a rapidly expanding real estate sector, which heavily assists wealthy residents.

After factoring for costs of living, California is the poorest state in the union. An average 19 percent of Californians live below the poverty line. Altogether, the state government has made life for poor and middle class Californians nearly unbearable.

California renters pay an average of $1,440 per month, much higher than the national average of $1,010 per month. Today, 29 percent of Californians spend over half their earnings on housing. Median home values, at $529,000, are more than double the national median of $239,800. Residents who can afford rent or a mortgage are on the hook for electricity rates that grew 500 percent faster than the national average from 2011 to 2017.

California cities are much more expensive for the poor, with Los Angeles having the highest proportion of income going towards rent in the nation. On top of a burdensome state income tax, California has the highest sales tax in the country along with property tax rates that disproportionately punish the poor and lead to housing problems.

Despite having just 12 percent of the national population, California represents nearly a third of all Americans on welfare. In California, 66 percent of families in poverty receive welfare.

California is the fourth most unequal state in the union with so many homeless who face diseases like typhus and hepatitis. The number of people living on the streets in California increased by nearly 14 percent to more than 130,000 in 2017. Mark Zuckerberg is worth $70 billion, while San Franciscans track human feces on the sidewalk.

The robber barons and artificially high real estate values in California brought its economy back to the fifth largest in the world. However, for the average person, the state represents systemic political failure.
