The United States of America is a brutal, all-encompassing, massively financed, uncompromising DICTATORSHIP.
Operating under the guise of a “democracy,” which the American rulers endlessly proclaim to the whole world.
We will forgo a detailed discussion about how the USA became such a loudly proclaimed “beacon” of “freedom” and “citizen control.” Given that the over-riding main objectives of the American Revolution against British colonialism were (a) massively expand the most brutal form of exploitation known – human chattel slavery and (b) mercilessly exterminate 90% or more of the Native American population and grab their land,
Let us not by any means defend British colonialism, which has its own long history of brutal, murderous exploitation of other peoples. There were in fact progressive forces associated with the American Revolution, but they were used to impart a pseudo-“democratic” character to the avaricious aims of the “Founding Fathers”. These progressive elements had virtually no impact on the country once the British overlords were expelled.
Only to note: the ubiquitous white-washing of US history goes hand-in-hand, is part and parcel of the phony portrayal of the present-day United States of America as somehow “democratic.”

Why should the United States of America be democratic?
What is crucial is that the USA appear to be democratic. The United States is the most powerful, most all-pervasive imperialist power in world history. To hell with the people interfering in this endeavor!
The United States is the rule of the wealthiest, entirely dominant 0.01% of the population, who manage every aspect of society for their greedy personal benefit. While essentially hidden by the effectively US-controlled world mass media, the USA is a country of enormous inequality, with tens and tens and tens of millions of American citizens living in conditions of desperate poverty and tens and tens and tens of millions of other American citizens living on the verge of total deprivation. Meanwhile the big bosses of US banks and industries commonly receive huge yearly remunerations, not infrequently amounting to tens of millions of dollars. Not to speak of the billionaire owners and shareholders who own most of the country's productive wealth and the parasitical enterprises of US capitalism. And who ruthlessly own, control and exploit on a vast international scale.
The United States of American has by far the largest prison population in the world, with the racially oppressed Black and Brown peoples receiving the worst. Police and other racists wantonly murder young Black people without fear of answering for their heinous crimes.
The vast tentacles of US imperialism in virtually every country of the world require that there be no meaningful dissent at home. Democracy anyone?
