Why the provocation?

How is the “Russian Interference in US Elections” provocation countered here by the government, the mass media and especially by well-publicized semi-official commentators?
To begin with, the premise – stated or implied - is that life-long swindler, raucous demagogue, howling liar, racist, extreme American chauvinist and neo-fascist Donald Trump is essentially a “good guy” who earnestly seeks improved relations with Russia, cooperation in the “fight against terror” and so on.
We will deal later with this absurdly laudatory, fundamentally flawed promotion of the ultra-reactionary US president – whose worst is still to come. The love-in with Donald has led to the ludicrous “ТРАМП НАШ» near hero-worshipping campaign, which had – and continues to have - no small input from the CIA-controlled Russian mass press and especially TV and from other US imperialist stooges given enormous publicity in Russia.
“Just intra-American politics...”
Here, the official (as well as the quasi-official) counter-campaign to the virulent charges of Russian interference is basically defensive: (1) there is no “proof” of such interference and (2) the US political elite – especially the “neo-cons” - are taking revenge of the unexpected outcome of the 2016 presidential election and are using Russia as a convenient whipping boy for their assault on Mr. “America First!”
In addition, there is a more valid point (3): the accusations are based on a wave of russophobia sweeping through the US ruling class, the mass media, etc. True enough, but the roots of this anti-Russian carnaval are not explored, at least not sufficiently.
What are the weaknesses to this approach?
One. Lack of proof is fair enough. There is nothing here but so-called “intelligence” presumptions from the extraordinarily massive and vicious US “intelligence community,” better described as the monstrous United States “lie, spy, criminal, provocation, subversion and regime change, terror, drug-runnning, torture, war and mass murder apparatus”.
Just “anonymous”, completely unsubstantiated allegations!
Yet it would be far better and more accurate to point to the extensive and common US imperialist dirty ploy of “intelligence” lies, which not infrequently become the forerunners of brutal, nasty and bloody provocations, not infrequently wars. In previous posts, we have noted the “slam dunk” (sure thing, 100%) “intelligence” lies concocted about alleged “weapons of mass destruction” in Iraq.
Vicious, provocative fabrications are in fact a hallmark of US “intelligence” practices, which are simply passed off as “plausible denial”.
Refutation of the fake US charges should highlight the US “intelligence” apparatus' frequent resort to outright lies to prepare the groundwork for hostile actions. “No proof” is accurate as far as it goes, but lets US imperialism and its nazi-like “intelligence” “community” off the hook.
Two. The basis for the massive provocation assault of blaming Russia was lauched NOT after Trump was elected, but DURING the 2016 election campaign – when it was nearly unanimously assumed, predicted and stated (in the US, at least) that Hillary Clinton would become president and carry her Democratic Party to certain victory in the House of Representatives and might even take over the Senate.
The core of the charges of Russian interference revolve around the hacking of Democratic Party and Clinton-stooge communications and sending these to Wikileaks for publication and consequently near world-wide exposure. WELL BEFORE THE NOVEMBER 2016 ELECTIONS.
Yes, after Trump became inaugerated, the wild provocation has also been turned against him. The intra-ruling class battle in the US is the fiercest since the time of the US Civil War (1861-1865), so why not?
Russia aside, it is arguably true that Trump's extreme policies and demagogy are harmful to core interests of US imperialism. The further isolation (if, so far, incomplete) of the United States is palpable. In just a little over a half-year of his presidency, Trump has managed to seriously conflict with Mexico, Australia, most of the over one billion Moslems, Great Britain, most of mainland Europe, China, with special vigor against North Korea, Iran and Venezuela, even Canada... You lose a continent here, and a continent there – pretty soon it adds up.
Moreover, Trump's proclamation to “make American great again” is based on pure demagogy and lies. His domestic “program” - including outright promotion of vicious racism – will never bring prosperity and a better life for the many, many tens of millions of Americans who are under severe duress – or worse. At some point in the not-too-distant future, that reality will strike home to the great majority of Americans; for many, many Americans it already has.
The salient fact should be noted that the new anti-Russian sanctions law had the overwhelming support of both Democrats and Republicans in Congress. What is at stake cannot be simply ascribed to narrow political party in-fighting.
There is already massive and growing sentiment within the American political elite that Swindler Donald is a serious liability for the core interests of US imperialism – at a time when far from everything is propitious for the plundering and predatory US of A.
The campaign to get rid of Swindler Donald is gaining in intensity. (The swindlers who follow him
will not necessarily be any better!). Don't be surpised to see “Our Trump” head to the showers before the conclusion of his four-year presidency.
But the anti-Russian campaign will continue and most likely intensify no matter what happens to the current titular head of US imperialism.
