What has happened with our hero Rob Baker has not been ascertained. Possibly because the FBI pig used an alias; probably because that name is very common in the US, making it difficult to locate that specific individual.
Finding about his stooge PW coworker, Keta Miranda#, has been easier.

I sent my critique of Baker's damaging articles to Gus Hall and “CP” Labor Secretary George Myers. I demanded action and got no response; obviously, this FBI “journalistic” hireling was home free.

Clearly, the agent problem was not confined to the Healeyites or to the Southern California District, but was a generalized virulent disease throughout the “Party.” It was not just the Baker issue, but the entire conduct of this phony outfit: high-sounding, boastful oratory and brash pronunciamentos, the inevitable internal squabbles that disrupted everything of apparent potential benefit and the deadening “inertia” that infested over 90% of the membership with the remaining 5-10% engaged in meaningless pseudo-pursuits.

I still hoped that maybe, maybe someone in the “CP” leadership was not an FBI bastard, or at least that there might be honest rank-and-file members or sympathizers around somewhere.
I spoke at the People's World Anniversary meeting on March 23, 1975 on the theme “The CIA-FBI Conspiracy: Exposure and Cover-up” and I managed to get the speech published as a flyer. Of course, I could not mention any names. I was also able to publish the first of two articles in the “Party's” “theoretical journal” Political Affairs: “The CIA: Instrument of US Foreign Policy” (March, 1975).

Then “Mr. American Communist” - and filthy lifelong FBI agent - Gus Hall flew into Los Angeles to deal with me. With “CP” national attorney John Abt in tow. Hall, a self-proclaimed co-founder of the national steelworkers union, had nothing negative to say about Rob Baker and his slimy steelworker “reporting.” Instead, the thoroughly rotten General Secretary berated me for “overestimating” the role of the enemy in the “Party.” For me personally, the charade was almost over.
A Diogenes searching for a single honest communist...
Now it was a question of trying to find a single honest communist or at least sympathizer anywhere. I tried to initiate a movement in LA against unemployment and inflation, and for a short time was able to enlist phony support from a handful of “comrades.” Nothing meaningful developed.
I was able to publish the second of my Political Affair articles, “Propaganda in the Battle for Men's Minds” (June 1976), which was based mainly on Arbatov's book. In early 1977, I ran as an independent candidate for the LA Community College Board of Trustees (Silent Terror, p. 20), hoping to unearth genuine revolutionaries with whom I could find common ground.
Nothing worked, which was far from suprising. The “Communist Party” was entirely discredited, mainly because of the all-encompassing anti-communism that was dogma in the US, but also due to the non-ending mendacious. deceitful and empty actions of “Party” members and leaders.
