On to Cleveland, Ohio...


In June of 1969 Lauren and I were married in her home town of Miami, Florida. The wedding went off without a hitch as did the week-long honeymoon in Cape Cod, Massachusetts and beyond that.


Leading me to the false assumption that everything was fine – even much better than just fine.


A short time later, we carted our personal belongings – no furniture – and drove to Cleveland, Ohio where I was slated to become the organizational secretary of the state's “Communist Party.”

I have written about the so-called “Communist Party USA” (Insights Into The US Secret Political Police 2):


“In those early years, I was then totally naive about what the “CP” was really about. Who was there to teach me? No one, of course.


“For most of the time of my 'Party' membership, I was a full-time political organizer, mainly for the 'Party' itself. I was the organizer and secretary for the 'Party' in two regions considered important - Ohio and then Southern California - and a member of the 'Central Committee' from the fall of 1969 to the middle of 1977.

“I attended numerous, numerous meetings at all levels and personally knew all the 'Party's' national leaders and virtually all of the state or district leaders as well. I knew all of the 'Party' members in New England (where I first joined the 'Party'), in Ohio and Southern California (of course). I came into contact with many or even most of the 'Communist Party' members in New York, Illinois, Indiana, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Northern California and in other regions...

“When I was a member, the 'Communist Party USA' had about 2,000 – 3,000 members nationwide, although the 'Party' 'leaders' claimed about ten times that number...

“The yearly budget of the 'Party' ran into the several millions of dollars. When I was in the 'Party,' there were up to or more than 200 people – including journalists and people in subsidiary organizations - who were on the 'Party' payroll. They all lived well, and showed no signs of financial or other hardship.


“2,000 to 3,000 'Party' members is, of course, a very small percentage of the US population. But is would be a highly significant number – if composed of genuine revolutionaries. 200 or so full-time political organizers is by no means a trivial number...

“What were all the 'revolutionary' 'Party' members and full-time organizers doing? Having meetings after meetings, and meetings about meetings. Engaging in 'fund drives' for the 'Party' newspapers and occasionally fielding candidates to run for one or another public office. Efforts to build genuine mass struggle against poverty, racism and war were absent.


“Eventually it became evident that the 'Communist Party USA' was a completely sham organization, run by the vast US lie, spy, criminal, provocation, subversion and regime change, terror, drug-runnning, torture, war and mass murder apparatus. What is also important to note is that the FBI spent several millions of dollars yearly to sponsor this charade.


“And the 'Communist Party USA' was only one of many, many such bogus outfits.


“When I found it impossible to identify even a single honest communist in the 'Party,' I left. It can be argued that I personally did not know every last member of the 'Communist Party USA,' but that is hardly significant. If there were an honest communist or two or even a few somewhere in the US (very unlikely), that would have been of no political significance. Any such individual(s) had absolutely no influence on 'Party' activities or policies and would have been destroyed long ago.”


I have good reason to believe that there was not a single honest (non-fink) individual other than myself in the entire “Communist Party USA.” What I know for sure is that there was not a single other genuine communist in the entire venal batch of organizers and other full-timers in the “Party.”

Arnold Lockshin was the single exception. In the United States of America, Lockshin was one of a kind.

For many years, the most prominent US “communist” was one Gus Hall, who gets a laudatory description in CIA-Wikipedia:


“Gus Hall (born Arvo Kustaa Halberg; October 8, 1910 – October 13, 2000) was a leader and chairman of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) and its four-time U.S. presidential candidate. As a labor leader, Hall was closely associated with the so-called "Little Steel" Strike of 1937, an effort to unionize the nation's smaller, regional steel manufacturers. During the Second Red Scare, Hall was indicted under the Smith Act and was sentenced to eight years in prison. After his release, Hall led the CPUSA for over 40 years, often taking an orthodox Marxist–Leninist stance...

“When the Supreme Court upheld the Smith Act (June 4, 1951), Hall and three other men skipped bail and went underground. Hall's attempt to flee to Moscow failed when he was picked up in Mexico City on October 8, 1951. He was sentenced to three more years and eventually served over five and a half years in Leavenworth Federal Penitentiary.

“Hall... led the struggle to reclaim the legality of the Communist Party and... spoke of a "broad people's political movement"... Hall spoke regularly on campuses and talk shows as an advocate for socialism in the United States... He remained a prolific writer on current events...

“During the 1960s and 1970s, Hall also made frequent appearances on Soviet television, always supporting the position of the Soviet Communist Party and the Leonid Brezhnev regime.” (Gus Hall, Wikipedia)

When I was in the "Party," Hall was the General Secretary and not the chairman of the CPUSA. There is no evidence that Hall was a “labor leader.“ Hall was formally convicted under the Smith Act, but it is most likely he spent his “prison time” far away in a comfortable “safe house,” living well under an assumed name. There is no evidence that Hall “went underground” from his FBI caretakers, which would have been impossible.

I visited Hall in his spacious, split-level home in Yonkers (a suburb of New York City). He insisted in flying only first-class and had a resplendent life style. FBI stooge Gus Hall lived an easy, long life, like so many US imperialist lackeys hiring themselves out to be fake “communists” or “revolutionaries.”

A phony and vicious “Black communist revolutionary”...


“If one writes a detailed and verbose history of the United States and the country's internal and external politics during the period 1967-1977, you will not be obliged to even mention the 'Communist Party USA.' The one apparent noteworthy exception in the entire period when I was active was the “Free Angela Davis” campaign. The phony campaign reached somewhat beyond the US, mostly in the socialist countries, but it had no impact on enhancing the CP or building people's struggles in America.


“Angela Davis was and still is a FBI-stooge, who helped organize a murderous provocation aimed at discrediting Black liberation activists in the US. She was eventually 'acquitted' and became a university professor and phony spokesperson for prisoners in the US. In the 2016 US presidential campaign, this 'revolutionary' (!) publicly supported arch-reactionary, warmonger and big-time thief Hillary Clinton.” (Dictatorship USA – Part 5)


“Angela Yvonne Davis (born January 26, 1944) is an American political activist, academic, and author. She emerged as a prominent counterculture activist in the 1960s working with the Communist Party USA, of which she was a member until 1991, and was involved briefly in the Black Panther Party...

“After allegedly purchasing firearms used in the 1970 armed take-over of a Marin County, California courtroom, in which four persons were killed, she was prosecuted for conspiracy. She was later acquitted of this charge.

“She is a professor emerita at the University of California, Santa Cruz, in its History of Consciousness Department. She is also a former director of the university's Feminist Studies department... Davis supported the governments of the Soviet Bloc for several decades. During the 1980s, she was twice a candidate for Vice President on the CPUSA ticket.” (Angelea Davis, Wikipedia)

Davis was/is a provocateur and FBI stooge. Note her free ride in the American university system, which is so common for US secret political police hirelings.


While in Cleveland and then not understanding who or what Davis actually was, I was very active in the “Free Angela Davis” campaign. Her brother Ben Davis, at the time a cornerback for the Cleveland Browns professional American football team, and his wife Sylvia willingly participated in this foul FBI charade.

Americans Live In A World Of Lies

The US government and the presstitutes that serve it continue to lie to us about everything.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics told us that the unemployment rate was 3.9%. How can this be when the BLS also reports that the labor force participation rate has declined for a decade throughout the length of the alleged economic recovery and there is no upward pressure on wages from full employment.

The 3.9% unemployment rate is not due to employment. It results from not counting discouraged workers who have ceased to search for jobs because there are no jobs to be had. If an unemployed person is not actively searching for a job, he is not counted as being in the labor force. The way the unemployment rate is measured makes it a hoax.

The government tells us that there is essentially no inflation despite the fact that prices have been rising strongly - the price of food, the price of home repairs, the price of drugs, the price of almost everything. The American Association of Retired People’s Public Policy Institute reported that the average retail drug price has been increasing “at a worrying pace of 10 percent a year, and about 20 drugs have astoundingly had their prices quadruple since just December. Sixty drugs doubled over the same period. Turing Pharmaceuticals bought a lifesaving cancer medication only to increase its price from $13.50 to $750 per pill.”

Incomes, of course, have not doubled. In real terms incomes have declined. Moreover, expenditures on medicines are a huge percentage of the budgets of the elderly and those on Medicare. According to the Kaiser Family Foundation, the average annual cost of prescription medicines for the elderly accounts for three-fourths of the average Social Security pension.

Real jobs have also declined. The jobs that the financial presstitutes report to be unfilled are not jobs that provide a living. Looking at July’s payroll jobs report again we see the Third World complexion of the US work force. The alleged new jobs are concentrated in lowly paid domestic services: temporary help services, health care and social assistance, waitresses and bartenders.

There is scant sign of a vibrant economy, but high debt is everywhere. Debt is growing faster than the income needed to support it. The US government is on course for another $1 trillion annual budget deficit.

Millions of Americans know full well that they have not benefited. They know the story told by economists and financial presstitutes is a lie.

Dictatorship USA – A Personal History – Part 31

A pseudo-peace movement and then Harvard...


After a year-and-a-half or so in Boston, my CP “comrades” insisted that I leave the anti-HUAC organization and work full-time for peace. That part was all right. By then, HUAC, while still ugly, was largely a concern of the past and the Vietnam War was issue Number One. I was ready to move on.

The “Party” decision was that I should become an organizer for Mass PAX#, a dead end proposal. Like virtually all “movement” organizations## in the US, the FBI was in control. Nonetheless, PAX at times played a role in demonstrating anti-war sentiment in the state. However, any chance that I could become an organizer was derailed by red-baiting, pro-imperialist propagandist Marty Peretz###, who was on the PAX board.


After I was rejected, my “comrades” decided that I should set up what in effect was a rival organization called PACEM (Peace Action Council of Eastern Massachusetts). This in principle was wrong, as it was in effect “dual unionism” - creating a competing quasi-organization when unity was needed. I was uncomfortable about the idea but too inexperienced politically to downright refuse.


The PACEM fiasco lasted for about a year, when I realized that I had to go back into science to earn my keep. Lawrence Bogorad (see post 20 of this series) had moved from the University of Chicago to the Harvard Biological Laboratories, and I was somewhat surprised that he immediately agreed to my request to become a post-doctoral fellow in his laboratory.

An unwitting accomplice to chemical warfare...

Research went quite well. My main collaborator Richard Falk (now a Professor Emeritus at the Department of Plant Biology, University of California Davis) was also assigned by the FBI to keep tabs on me.


One day Bogorad called me into his office specifically to show me a scientific paper from Fort Detrick* (stamped “secret” or even “top secret”). “Fort Detrick... was the center of the U.S. biological weapons program from 1943 to 1969... it has hosted most elements of the United States biological defense program.” (Fort Detrick, Wikipedia)


Strange. Why show me secret US military material? Bogorad pointed to the reference section of the paper, which had to do with defoliation*. Among the paper's citations was a citation of my Ph.D. thesis research, which had been published: Solubilization and Properties of Chloroplast Lamellar Protein Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (US) 56, 1564-1570 (1966).

It should be noted that the US war against Vietnam was going on full force at the time, and defoliation was among the arsenal of horrible weapons the “Land of the Free” was employing against the people of that country.


At about the same time, Peter Hepler (see post 17), then an assistant professor at the same Harvard Biological Laboratories where I was working, informed me unofficially that I had been selected to assume his position as he was preparing to move to Stanford University in California. An assistant professorship at Harvard was considered a plum for young scientists. And I had not even applied!


Was it true? Probably so. I had just been promoted to Lecturer in Biology (see photograph No. 5 in my book “Silent Terror”), and in case I accepted the new presumed post, my time for political struggle would have been severely limited.

Both unexpected occurences should be seen as two parts of a treacherous whole. Bogorad's (actually the FBI's, of course) ploy was intended to demonstrate to still fairly naive Arnold Lockshin that there can be no escaping the talons of United States imperialism via “pure” research or by any other means. I had earlier thought that my scientific research was entirely humanistic and dispassionate, while in fact it was being used for the most foul of all human endeavors: mass murderous imperialist war. Hepler's “insider information” on my prospective appointment (whether true or not) indicated that abandoning one's ideal had its rewards.

At that time, I understood considerably less about the United States of Dictatorship America (USA) than I do now. But even so, I was quite shaken about the juxtaposition of the two events. I saw no conscionable future for myself in science.

When Gus Hall, General Secretary of the “Communist Party USA” next came into the Boston area, I told him I wanted to become a full-time organizer for the “Party.”

## The one most notable exception was the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) when it was led by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Even when King led the SCLC, the organization was heavily infiltrated and partially obstructed by FBI stooges such as Jesse Jackson.

"This Is War": Comparing Trump To Hitler In New Documentary

Filmmaker Michael Moore has compared President Trump to Adolf Hitler in his new documentary, "Farenheit 11/9" which premiered Thursday at the Toronto International Film Festival to a sold-out audience.

Moore superimposed Trump's words over video of Hitler speaking at rallies, as the activist narrates about the rise of strong men to positions of power.

"We explore the question of how the hell we got in this mess and how do we get out of it," Moore told reporters before the film's screening.

Moore says his new film is a call to action for Americans. "Anyone who doesn’t understand that is going to be sorely disappointed in the results of what’s about to happen in the next few years with Donald Trump."

"When are people going to get off the couch and rise up?"

“Sadly, Trump is not going to leave ... He plans to be re-elected, he loves the term ‘president for life.’ The only way that we’re going to stop this is eventually we’re all going to have to put our bodies on the line. You’re going to have to be willing to do this.”

My future “wife” appears on the scene...


It was the summer of 1967. I was still on vacation in California and as I usually did upon returning home, I took a stroll on the UC Berkeley campus where I had been an undergraduate.


At the same, Lauren Gail Brown, who had just arrived in the San Francisco Bay area from her native Miami, was also walking to the campus. She was in the company of Debbie Uscott, whom I knew from my days in Madison. Allegedly, the Uscotts were friends of Lauren's family and with this supposed connection, Uscott was showing her newly arrived guest the sights.


Right next to Sather Gate, the main entrance to the UC Berkeley campus, Debbie – with her strikingly attractive young woman “friend” - and I met. Then Uscott “had other things to do,” leaving me alone to show Lauren the sights of the campus and get better acquainted.


A spontaneous meeting made in heaven? So I naively thought for a fairly long time.

Piecing together the pieces years later, I understood that there was nothing spontaneous about meeting my future “wife.”


Completely unknown to me, the secret political police (more likely, their cohorts on the local police force) had been following me through my jaunt on campus. They were in mobile telephone contact with stooge Uscott, who was instructed when and where to move to “run in to me.” As the flunky knew me personally, I was easy for her to recognize.


Lauren had been clued in - completely. Get entangled in Arnold Lockshin's intimate personal life was what she had to do. I have discussed this forced marriage FBI-style (Insights Into The US Secret Political Police 10):


“What would impel/compel a young woman (23 years old when we married) to become a CIA-FBI-cohorts' long-term prostitute?

“Whoring is not rare in the US. It is estimated that over one million women in the United States have worked as prostitutes (Prostitution in The United States - The Statistics, Aug. 28, 2013).

“But in Lauren Brown's case, hers was not a 15 minute in-and-out episode or a one-night stand. Her rotten prostitution was a commitment for years. With children involved.

“Since this devil's bargain was made before we met, I cannot know the details, but can only provide a reasonable possible explanation.

“Some time after we were married, it emerged in conversations that earlier Lauren was a female “companion” for the Miami (Florida) mob. Unpleasant news, but I opined at the time that she had “gone straight” and had become my wife. Naive Arnold thought “bygones are bygones.”


“Being in and around organized crime is a rough business, of course. The mafia is involved in all sorts of nasty things, like extortion, protection racketeering, larceny, insurance theft, drugs, money laundering, swindling... and murder. It is entirely probable that whore Lauren Brown had been involved in such nefarious activities, perhaps as the sex setup for major crimes, even murder. Or given her loathsome associations and repugnant fecal acts, she may have susceptible for easy framing anyway and could have been sent away for a long time. In any case, the US Gestapo made her an “offer” she could not refuse.

“Pure speculation? Only partially. The details are not overly important. What is perfectly clear is that the US secret political police are fully capable of coercing and exacting “cooperation” on this kind of basis. The American Gestapo is as ruthless and murderous as it needs to be, and bending a gangster moll to its evil designs is perfectly acceptable.

“Plus there would be personal financial rewards and an easy life for slut Brown, especially in the by-and-by. As is the norm for collaborators with the American secret political police (see my post “Dictatorship USA – Part 9B” - “Full-time collaborators”).

“What I now know for sure is that Lauren Brown was not “turned” nor “persuaded” to betray me at some point after our marriage, nor after we emigrated to the Soviet Union. She was a rotten whore, a filthy CIA stooge from the get-go.

“There was yet another factor in her “cooperation.” The link with Arnold Lockshin was expected to be over after just a few years.

“After all, Lockshin was supposed to be dead 30 years ago.”

In the meantime, the American Gestapo had big plans for me, which will be discussed in later posts.


Accordingly, the US secret political police needed their stooge – my “wife” - enmeshed in my most intimate personal life: a most reliable source who would continually ascertain and report on my intensions, mood and contemplations - “intelligence,” in the jargon of the Gestapo.

America’s daunting student debt crisis is about to get even worse

At $1.3 trillion, America’s pile of student loan debt is near-incomprehensible in size.

A new report from Brookings suggests that the default rate on student loans could rise a lot higher than previously expected. The study found that default rates could rise as high as 40% by 2023.

What’s going on? The rise of for-profit colleges, many of which have been publicly accused of deceiving students into debt, is one leading cause. More than twice as many of the students who started in 2003 attended for-profit schools, versus their counterparts who enrolled in 1995.

Another cause is simply record-high tuition figures that colleges across the country—for-profit, public, and private—charge for an education these days. It is now common for a bachelor’s degree to cost upwards of $200,000. With a college degree a near necessity for getting a foothold in the workforce, Americans have little choice but grin and bear it, and many are falling into debt as a result.

When I began my stint with the anti-HUAC committee in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Dale Gronemeier was managing the Northern California office for the outfit. He published a pamphlet under the committee's auspices: “HUAC and the KKK.”


Shortly thereafter, Gronemeier left the anti-HUAC organization, and has since become a prominent “civil rights” attorney in the Los Angeles (California) area:

Gronemeier was replaced by an attractive young woman, Judy Soltes. During my vacation in California in 1967, Frank Wilkinson (i.e, the FBI) asked me to join Soltes on a presumed organizing trip to demonstrate to her my “remarkable” political skills.

As we drove in the San Francisco peninsula, July, who was married, let it be known that she had amorous designs.

Which later led to two overnight sexual encounters, invigorating enough, but were seriously marred by her periodic crying. And that was it.

This short lived affair had a purpose: to whet – or re-whet – my appetite for female companionship. To psychologically set the stage for my future, more permanent relationship.

At the time, I was 28 years old. Contrary to my naive expectations, I had not found camaraderie or even much in the way of shared values with my (totally false) colleagues in the anti-HUAC organization or fake “comrades” in the so-called Communist Party USA. I felt – in retrospect, entirely justifiably – rather isolated and I had more-or-less resigned myself to the prospect that I might never marry or help raise a family.


Years later, it became apparent that the contrived episodes with Soltes were designed to rekindle my carnal desires and prepare me for the CIA/FBI prostitute who was to become my “wife” - one Lauren Gail Brown from Miami, Florida.

Is The US "The Worst Place In The World To Give Birth"?

A new USA Today investigation offers a searing indictment of maternal care in the United States, and says the country "is the most dangerous place in the developed world to give birth."

"Deadly Deliveries," the result of a four-year investigation, references federal data showing that more than 50,000 women are "severely injured" and roughly 700 die during childbirth each year. Perhaps even more staggering is that "half of these deaths could be prevented and half the injuries reduced or eliminated with better care," the investigation found.

The findings, based on interviews with women and a trove of internal hospital records, "reveal a stunning lack of attention to safety recommendations and widespread failure to protect new mothers."

Such failures often stem from inadequate or delayed responses to hemorrhages and dangerously high blood pressure.

A disturbing trend noted in the report: from 1990 to 2015, in most developed nations the number of maternal deaths per 100,000 births was steady or dropped. Not so in the U.S., where the figure soared. In Germany, France, Japan, England, and Canada the number had fallen to below 10 in the time frame. In the U.S., meanwhile, the figured soared to 26.4.

Looking at the overall picture in the U.S., though, "it's a failure at all levels, at national organization levels and at the local hospital leadership levels as well," Dr. Steven Clark, a leading childbirth safety expert and a professor at Baylor College of Medicine, said.

Women who hemorrhage at disproportionately black-serving hospitals are far more likely to wind up with severe complications, from hysterectomies, which are more directly related to hemorrhage, to pulmonary embolisms, which can be indirectly related. When we looked at data for only the most healthy women, and for white women at black-serving hospitals, the pattern persisted."

The Israel-CIA connection...


For most of my adult life in the US, my older sister* Dorothy Lockshin Naor was not living there. Nonetheless, she traveled extensively around the world and periodically spent considerable time in the States. Pig Dorothy was sent now and then by the CIA/FBI to directly ascertain my thoughts and aspirations and instigate dissension within my “family.” At the time, I had no idea of her secret political police-guidance or intensions.


Mainly residing for decades in Israel, Dorothy Naor has been a CIA-Mossad# agent in their program of building a fake peace movement in the country and of entrapping and betraying genuine peace-oriented Israelis and liberation-minded Palestinians. Her “official” description hides all of this, of course:

“Dr. Dorothy Naor lives in Herzliah, near Tel Aviv. An activist with New Profile, an Israeli feminist and anti-militarist group, she participates in virtually all activities having to do with occupation policy and civil rights in Israel. Most recently, she has become involved in the Israeli Committee for Residency Rights (ICRR), an ad hoc committee working on residency rights for Palestinians and for allowing entry to the West Bank... Dorothy takes people on informal tours to the West Bank...

“Dorothy was born in San Francisco but immigated to Israel in her early 20s, in 1958. She has lived in Israel for most of the past 50 (+) years... Dorothy's husband, Israel Naor, and, like most men in Israel, participated in several wars, including the first one in 1948. He has come to share Dorothy's concerns.”

The Naors were sent to several “Third World” countries on CIA-sponsored intelligence and manipulation projects designed around irrigation projects that Israel Naor was commissioned to supervise.


I wrote about my last encounter with the Naors:

And sometimes to simply jar the victim. ### Another ploy along these lines is to send a former acquaintance (not a close friend or relative) to a location where the target is expected to be (determined usually by telephone taps or listening devices installed at home or in the victim's automobile). The temporarily-contracted CIA/FBI whore (male or female) makes himself/herself “available,” i.e. visible to the target, but does not initiate contact. More often than not, however, the quarry greets his/her “old friend” and in the course of normal conversation, discusses his/her life, feelings, intentions, etc. Since the CIA/FBI stooge was ostensibly passive in the encounter, the victim does not begin to suspect that all this is a planned secret political police “intelligence” operation.

This chicanery does not exclude the cases when an old acquaintance – with FBI planning and at FBI instigation - “unexpectedly” encounters the target and delves into his/her personal feelings and plans.

If the U.S. economy is really doing so well, then why is homelessness rising so rapidly?

As the gap between the rich and the poor continues to increase, the middle class is steadily eroding. More Americans are falling out of the middle class and into poverty with each passing day, and this is one of the big reasons why the number of homeless is surging. For example, the number of people living on the street in L.A. has shot up 75 percent over the last 6 years. Other major cities on the west coast are facing similar problems, and that includes Seattle. It turns out that the Emerald City has seen a 46 percent rise in the number of people sleeping in their vehicles in just the past year…

The number of people who live in their vehicles because they can’t find affordable housing is on the rise, even though the practice is illegal in many U.S. cities. The number of people residing in campers and other vehicles surged 46 percent over the past year, a recent homeless census in Seattle’s King County, Washington found. The problem is “exploding” in cities with expensive housing markets, including Los Angeles, Portland and San Francisco, according to Governing magazine.

Amazon, Microsoft and other big tech companies are in the Seattle area. It is a region that is supposedly “prospering”, and yet this is going on.

Sadly, it isn’t just major urban areas that are seeing more people sleeping in their vehicles. Over in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, many of the homeless sleep in their vehicles even in the middle of winter…

It is time to admit that we have a problem. The number of homeless in this country is surging. But instead, many communities are simply passing laws that make it illegal for people to sleep in their vehicles…

And if our homelessness crisis is escalating this dramatically while the economy is supposedly “growing”, how bad are things going to be once the next recession officially begins?

We live at a time when the cost of living is soaring but our paychecks are not. As a result, middle class families are being squeezed like never before.

Home prices are completely out of control. Other elements of our cost of living are only going to become even more painful. Health care costs rise much faster than the rate of inflation every year, food prices are becoming incredibly ridiculous, and the cost of a college education is off the charts.

And thanks to the trade war, prices are going to start going up more rapidly than we have seen in a very long time.

Many middle class families are relying on debt to get them from month to month, and consumer debt in the United States has surged to an all-time high. But eventually a day of reckoning comes.

How a suicidal primal screamer became a multi-millionaire...


Like many other rat-finks of the vicious, murderous and all-intrusive US lie, spy, criminal, provocation, subversion and regime change, terror, drug-runnning, torture, war and mass murder apparatus, Larry Lockshin earned his credentials – and his passport to a lucrative future - as a fake movement activist.


Larry participated in the “Freedom Summer 1964” campaign* and the San Francisco State College (now University) student strike**. My biological brother# joined me at the founding convention of the Young Workers Liberation League##.


Although Larry's “activism” was only occasional and eclectic, I then considered him as a comrade in the progressive struggle. In large measure, his involvement was designed to generate exactly that utterly false perception on my part.

At the time of his filthy “primal scream” farce (see previous post), I felt a certain commiseration with Larry – as well as deep anger over his cruel attack on our mother. In other words, I then had no idea that his psychic “illness” was entirely an FBI-generated psychological warfare attack aimed at destroying Mom and leaving me without a friend in the world.

The attack was largely unsuccessful, but it left its marks on Mom. Meanwhile, Larry moved on to bigger and better things: although this rat graduated from a third-rate law school###, his path to wealth was greased by his secret political police associations. He has become a big-shot lawyer in the highly lucrative (for some) personal injury law business:

It has been possible to find the outcome of two of his suits, both of which Larry profitted handsomely – very handsomely indeed.


(1) “Larry Lockshin, a plaintiff's attorney, represented Patrick Lapin in a 1993 case against Lapin's former employer, Southgern Pacific, in respect to railroad inhalation injuries plaintiff sustained during the course of his employment...

“Lockshin obtained a $1.6 million verdict for his client. Nevertheless, Lapin terminated Lockshin in February 1994 and declared the retainer, which authorized Lockshin to take $800,000 in attorney's fees based on the $1.6 million verdict, was void and unconscionable.


“(Attorney) Carlson defended Lockshin in the ensuing malpractice suit and also represented him in the cross-complaint for fraud and attorney's fees. Retired California Supreme Court Justice Cruz Reyoso testified that Lockshin had not violated any legal ethics or standards of care... Not only did the jury exonerate Lockshin with regard to the breach of fidiciary duty and malpractice claims, they awarded him close to $1 million on his cross-claim.” (San Francisco Daily Journal, March 31, 2001)

A cool “close to $1 million from a likely disabled railroad worker, who lost more than he originally received for what had to be a very grievous injury. And Larry was directly assisted in his heartless grab by a former California Supreme Court Justice.

If one takes into account inflation in the approximately quarter-century period since Larry won this verdict, one would have to increase the amount in current dollars by approximately 2/3 (InflationData.com).

(2) “Amtrak engineer wins $5.6 million verdict in West Sacramento beating” (The Sacramento Bee, Dec.3, 2014) “'This gentleman was a faithful railroad worker, and he was very fortunate that federal law protected him so that he could obtain justice in a court of law for his grievous injuries,' plaintiff’s lawyer Larry Lockshin said.”

In the first case, Larry took half of the settlement as his “fee.” If, as is likely, he shook down his client for the same cut in this case, Larry would have walked off with a cool $2.8 million.

How many such cases? Probably a considerable number over the period of several decades. None of this would be even conceivable without FBI go-ahead.

The “suicidal primal screamer” has become a multi-millionaire. Welcome to America!

Why do so many moms die and suffer in the US? Stupid negligence
It really is down to things like ignoring critical blood pressure levels—for hours.

The US has a shameful record when it comes to caring for its moms. The rate of women dying during pregnancy or childbirth is higher—much higher—than in any other developed country. Mothers die in the US at a rate six-times that seen in Italy and three-times the rate in the UK, for instance. And of those that survive, tens of thousands suffer devastating injuries and near-death experiences each year.

US hospitals either won’t reveal or don’t determine rates of maternal complications, and the country as a whole simply doesn’t monitor the deaths consistently or accurately. The US hasn’t reported an official maternal death rate since 2007—a situation health experts have called an “international embarrassment.”

Many of the pregnant women and mothers who suffer and die in this country do so from easily preventable, common complications—and hospitals know exactly what safety features and practices are needed to spare mothers’ lives and suffering, they just aren’t using them. Women are left to bleed to death because doctors don’t bother monitoring blood loss. Women suffer strokes and seizures and even die because doctors and nurses fail to treat their high blood pressure in time. The bottom line is stunning, simple negligence.


At dozens of hospitals in New York, Pennsylvania, and the Carolinas, fewer than half of mothers were given prompt medication for dangerous blood pressure levels that put them at risk of having a stroke or seizure, the documents revealed. At some hospitals, the rate was less than 15 percent.

While high blood pressure is one of the top causes of maternal deaths and complications, experts estimate that up to 60 percent of hypertensive deaths are preventable.

Hemorrhaging is another common but easily treatable complication. Women can bleed to death in as little as five minutes during childbirth. Yet experts estimate that 90 percent of maternal deaths from extreme blood loss are preventable. Such strategies to avoid harms are simple things, like weighing bloody pads to monitor blood loss (not relying on inaccurate visual estimates), having medications and supplies to curb blood loss readily available in a mobile cart, and responding promptly to signs of trouble.

Such simple steps have been recommended by experts for years. Many hospitals admitted they weren’t following guidelines. We’re not talking about a Third World country, we’re talking about us, here. This shouldn’t be happening here.

A “primal screamer” attacks my mother on FBI orders...


Once I had devoted myself full-time to progressive politics and had joined the so-called “Communist Party USA,” The US Gestapo decided, logically, that the attacks had to be intensified.


As often happens with FBI tactics, the indirect approach was utilized, which is intended to deflect
attention from the main objectives of the secret political police. The direct target of this particular attack became not me, but my mother, who was the only real personal, psychological, actual support I ever had in the world.

The political police-directed protagonist in his case was my younger brother* Larry.

With my mother's help, I was able to visit my California home, about once a year, usually in the summer. In 1967 (plus or minus a year), on one of these occasions Larry - i.e., the FBI - sprung a horrible surprise. Then an undergraduate student at San Francisco State Univerisity, Larry was instructed to launch a particularly brutal psychological warfare attack on my mother.

Out of the blue and in my presence, the rat proclaimed that my wonderful mother somehow was directly responsible for his contrived “severe psychological problems.” He shouted that he was undergoing “Primal scream therapy” ** and shrieked that Mom had to (a) confess her “guilt,” (b) express contrition before him, and (c) fork over thousands of dollars for him to continue “treatment.” I was a witness to all of this hell.

To say Mom and I were shocked is to understate the reaction. I was unbelieving, but my mother took to heart this cruel and vicious contrived blow and was deeply distressed.

With an womanizing, malicious FBI-programmed husband, Mom's life was her children. My older sister* Dorothy Naor (there are 3 of us) had also sold her soul to the secret political police (see following post) and following their orders, had already dealt nasty psychological blows to my mother.


The FBI intention was that I might somehow join – even mildly - in the vicious criticism of Mom. Had I in any way accepted the pig's foul accusations or even raised the slightest criticism or reproach of anything my mother had done in her whole life, the psychological effect on Mom would have been devastating. She would have felt herself entirely abandoned, helpless to counteract the animosity and apparent loss of her entire family - to whom she had selflessly and lovingly devoted her entire adult life.

In such a case, the anticipated and likely result would have been the emotional destruction of this wonderful human being: a complete breakdown and even death.

And I would have prematurely lost the only support I had in life – long before I had discerned the main features and mode of action of the United States Gestapo.

Psychological warfare is a bestial form of torture. No marks are left and the murderous main culprit slips off unnoticed and unaccused.

In fact, I protested Larry's brutal, absolutely uncalled-for attack on Mom, his scandalous accusations and demands. But the secret political police had worked out an option in case I did not fall for the poisonous bait: if I in any way criticized Larry, he threatened to commit suicide.

Sheer fakery, of course. Larry was simply following the devil's orders and anticipating (correctly) to be richly rewarded for it.

At the time, I had no idea this was all an FBI-ordered attack, and I did not want to be even indirectly responsible for my “brother's” death. Accordingly, my response was less vigorous and sustained than it should have been, than it would have been in the absence of this “suicide threat.”


As brutal and ugly as this attack was, it helped prepare me for the traitorous betrayal I faced from my own “family” many years later in Moscow.

Income Inequality In US Getting Worse, It Was "Intentional"

According to researchers at the Economic Policy Institute (EPI), the top 1 percent of American families took home approximately 26.3 times as much income as the bottom 99 percent in 2015— a 4 percent increase from 2013.

The report titled “The New Gilded Age: Income inequality in the U.S. by state, metropolitan area, and county,” warns about the alarming trends in income inequality spreading across the country.

Researchers used the latest government data to analyze how the top 1 percent and the bottom 99 percent in each state have fared from 1970 to 2015 by county and metropolitan area. This analysis reveals vast and widespread growth in income inequality in “every corner of the country,” said the report.

Rising inequality affects virtually every part of the country, not just large urban areas or financial centers. It’s a persistent problem throughout the country— -in big cities and small towns, in all 50 states.

Key findings of the report include:
To be in the top 1 percent nationally in 2015, a family needed an income of $421,926.
From 2009 to 2015, the incomes of the top 1 percent grew faster than the incomes of the bottom 99 percent in 43 states and the District of Columbia. The top 1 percent captured half or more of all income growth in nine states.

Overall in the U.S., the top 1 percent took home 22.03 percent of all income in 2015. That share was just 1.9 percentage points below the 1928 peak of 23.9 percent, which preceded the Great Depression.

While the degree of income inequality differs across the country, the underlying forces are clear. It’s the result of intentional policy decisions to shift bargaining power away from working people and towards the top 1 percent.

While the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer in the United States, President Donald Trump took to Twitter last month to brag about the economy. Calling it the “greatest” on record, which we ask: What economy (financial economy or real economy) was he referring to?

Reverend “communist” Grubbs:

There were a few other young Boston-area “communists,” for whom the internet gave no current information: Quentin Reynolds, Dan Mack, Virginia Guild (spelling?), her brother Robert, Robert's wife (first name?). Plus a handful of others whose names I do not remember.

Nonetheless, the pattern is absolutely clear. These malicious fakers never were/are communists, but malignant and filthy FBI stooges whose duplicity was their meal ticket for a comfortable life in imperialist America.

Not a few of them still pretend to be “activists” or “progressives” of a sort, but that is simply more virulent fakery. Donna Lieberman of the NYCLU (see post 23) is a full-time FBI operative. The other pigs, even in old age, remain/remained part of the millions of part-time FBI operatives (see post 13 of this series) that infest Dictatorship USA real politics.


One of the rat pack becomes honest, with tragic consequences...

Special note should be taken of Barbara Flynn, a young woman from Connecticut. Barbara became extremely remorseful of her duplicitous “communist” role, morbidly so. “I have hurt people, I have hurt people,” the conscience-stricken Radcliffe student stated as she dropped out of pseudo-politics. That was not all. Flynn later committed suicide by ghastly self-immolation, in the manner of the Buddhist monks who in this way protested US imperialist-led mass murder in Vietnam.

Trump trolls American workers with his Labor Day message

The White House issues a statement praising workers and unions, despite a record of depressing wages, threatening jobs, and weakening unions.

In a presidential proclamation released Friday, the White House falsely claimed that the Trump administration “has taken historic action to advance prosperity for the American worker.”

While many of the administration’s actions are historic — the tax cut benefiting corporations and rich people are on track to balloon the deficit to record-setting levels — they do not benefit workers.

Wages are stagnant and remain low. The federal minimum wage has languished for almost a decade now. Even as local governments are trying to pass minimum wage bills, the Republican party continually opposes such measures.

Workers are feeling the pinch in other ways. They don’t have health care and they can’t afford to send their kids to school.

Trump’s trade war is hurting farmers and new tariffs are likely to put people out of work in multiple sectors. The administration even pursues petty policies, like making it harder for workers to recoup lost overtime pay, that harm workers.

He’s even using the tax cuts as an excuse to bring wages down: the White House proposed a freeze on federal workers’ pay, in the name of “fiscal responsibility,” despite the massive tax cuts recently signed into law.

He has a distinctly anti-union track record: In May, Trump took aim at federal workers’ unions in a series of executive orders that would undermine unions’ power. And Trump’s Supreme Court appointee Neil Gorsuch dealt a massive blow to public sector unions in his deciding vote in a recent ruling.

Did they suffer in imperialist America because of their bout of “revolutionaryism?” Judge for yourself.

The “leader” of the “Communist youth club” in the late 1960s was Alan Silverstone (and my apartment-mate for about a year):


“Allen E. Silverstone, 75, Researcher and teacher specializing in immunotoxicology of Jersey City, N.J., and Syracuse, N.Y., peacefully passed away Nov. 19, 2017... Born Sept. 20, 1942, in Chicago, Ill., he graduated from Bowen H.S. ('60), Reed College (B.S. '64), and MIT (Ph.D., '70)...” (Star-Ledger, Nov. 26, 2017)

“(Silverstone) was a Jane Coffin Childs postdoctoral fellow at Edinburgh, and completed his postdoctoral work with Nobel Prize winner David Baltimore at MIT. He researched and taught at Harvard, MIT, and Sloan-Kettering, before joining the faculty of Microbiology and Immunology at SUNY Upstate Medical University in 1985, specializing in immunotoxicology. He served as the director of the department's graduate program for over a decade, and was given the President's Award for Graduate Teaching in 1998...

“Allen was a passionate and tireless crusader for a more just society and more peaceful world. He was an early organizer of Students for a Democratic Society and the DuBois Club *. While at MIT, he was heavily involved in the anti-war movement, as well as the formation of Science for the People and the Union of Concerned Scientists.” (Dr. Allen E. Silverstone, Obituary)

Gosh, Allen obviously did not suffer FBI persecution. No problem. And he could continue being a phony “progressive activist.” Gosh again.


Silverstone's closest “comrade” was fervent young “communist” Peter Orris:

“Peter Orris (born 1945 in Los Angeles, California) is an American political activist, Medical Doctor and Professor and Chief of Occupational and Environmental Medicine at the University of Illinois at Chicago Hospital and Health Sciences System. Raised in New York City, Orris was involved with the civil rights movement from age eleven. While known contemporarily for his work in the field of medicine, Orris is also known for his work in the Civil Rights Movement.

"Our City Has Become A Cesspool" Due To Homelessness Surge

Even though it has always been kind of crazy, at one time Portland, Oregon was quite an attractive place to live, but now those days are long gone.

Today, the city streets are strewn with garbage, drug paraphernalia and human feces. Mentally ill homeless people and drug addicts wander about like zombies, and there are certain areas of the city that you absolutely do not want to visit at night. In essence, the city is slowly becoming a post-apocalyptic version of its former self, and those that love the city are seething with frustration.

Of course Portland is simply experiencing the same surge in homelessness that so many other west coast cities are struggling to deal with. As housing prices have risen dramatically, many on the lower end of the income scale have been priced out of the market entirely, and an increasing number of people are being forced to sleep in vehicles, in shelters or on the streets.

Many other west coast cities are dealing with the exact same issues right now.

For example, new San Francisco Mayor London Breed recently admitted that there “is more feces on the sidewalks than I’ve ever seen”… The streets of San Francisco are littered with a dangerous mix of drug needles, garbage, and feces. During one recent seven day period 16,000 complaints were submitted to the city about human feces.

It is important to keep in mind that San Francisco supposedly has a “booming economy” and some of the highest real estate prices in the entire nation.

If this is happening in a “prosperous area”, what are things like in major cities where things are not so prosperous?

Down in L.A., there was a nearly 26 percent increase in homelessness in 2017, and overall homelessness in L.A. has risen 75 percent over the past 6 years.

25 percent of the nation’s entire homeless population now lives in California… The federal Housing and Urban Development Department estimates the number statewide at 130,000 on a given night. Since 2016, California experienced a larger increase in homelessness than any other state.

At one time, L.A.’s “skid row” was limited to a single street, but now it goes on mile after mile. Most of its 2,000 residents sleep in tents or under tarps. Those with more status occupy the sides of streets shaded by trees. The lowest caste sleep on cardboard or nothing. Some people rent tents for a few bucks a night.

There are no liquor stores so businessmen buy alcohol from shops a few miles away and sell it at a steep mark-up.

And let us not forget about Seattle. Homeless encampments have become so pervasive in “the Emerald City” that authorities started building “tiny house villages” for the homeless out of desperation. But these “tiny house villages” are a lot more depressing than they sound…

Unfortunately, this is probably only just the beginning of this crisis. Homelessness always explodes during a recession, and many believe that we are rapidly approaching another one. West coast cities are really struggling to deal with this crisis right now, and it is hard to imagine how they will deal with the tsunami of human suffering that is coming their way once economic conditions begin to sour.

The ACLU finds a “communist” heroine...


Upon joining the CPUSA, I was surprised and pleased to learn that there was a sizeable (by CP standards) youth contingent in the Boston (Massachusetts) area. I got to know all of these pretend-communists, and it is enlightening to follow what happened to them from the perspective of half a century later.


Let us begin with Donna Lieberman, a one-time red-hot Radcliffe-Harvard “communist.”

“Donna Lieberman has been the executive director of the NYCLU since December 2001.” (New York Civil Liberties Union, Wikipedia). NYCLU is the New York branch of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

Many, if not most, Americans know the ACLU as a near-constant courtroom “opponent” of the United States government. The ACLU and/or its branches regularly file suits (which they usually lose) and issue militant-sounding statements contesting this or that US governmental action or policy. Let us review the “official” CIA/FBI version of this “stellar” organization:

“The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) is a nonprofit organization whose stated mission is 'to defend and preserve the individual rights and liberties guaranteed to every person in this country by the Constitution and laws of the United States.' Officially nonpartisan,.. the ACLU works through litigation and lobbying and it has over 1,200,000 members and an annual budget of over $100 million. Local affiliates of the ACLU are active in almost all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. The ACLU provides legal assistance in cases when it considers civil liberties to be at risk. If fact, the ACLU, the “Communist Party USA” and hundreds, if not thousands more “movement” organizations past and present are simply and maliciously the baked-in-the-cake ostensible “opposition” fashioned and directed by the American secret political police, in accordance with the principle I have noted earlier:


“It is far, far, far better for the reactionary US (and not only the US!) ruling class to organize a manifold variety of fake movements which the secret political police entirely control. A great deal of noise and 'furor' can be generated, but nothing permanent or meaningful develops. And the 'movements' can be turned off when needed.” (Dictatorship USA – Part 9АA)

Personal experience with the ACLU...

After I was peremptorily fired on FBI orders from my cancer research work in Houston, Texas in 1986, I went to the local ACLU office seeking help. By that time, I was no longer naive and knew what the ACLU was. Nonetheless, when a target – such as I was - is virtually defenseless against a far, far more powerful opponent, it may be wise to take a shot at some prospect - even if the chances of success are minimal.

“What chances would we have to protest our case within the United States? After receiving Anderson's letter *, Jennifer and I drove to the offices of the Texas Civil Liberties Union in Houston. I was familiar with its parent organization, the ACLU, having worked on projects with the organization's national office in the 1960s.

“I explained to the director that I had been fired for political reasons from my job in cancer research. 'Could the Civil Liberties Union offer any help?' I inquired. The director asked for no particulars about my case and said that it would cost a considerable sum to get legal advice which, in any case, would probably be of little use. Surely, I argued, this organization could be of assistance. She shook her head negatively. Lieberman continues to maintain her “radical” (the word “communist” does not enter the discussion) pretensions. She nonetheless holds a high-paying, soft job. No persecution, no slander, no psychological warfare against her, no forced exile from her country...

Fentanyl-Related Deaths Double In Six Months; Officials Warn The Third-Wave Will Be A "Crisis"

According to the CDC’s (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) Mortality and Morbidity Weekly Report, the number of overdose deaths involving fentanyl and fentanyl analogs doubled in the last several years.

The third wave of the opioid epidemic is here, as new synthetics [fentanyl analogs] that are 10,000 times as potent as morphine and used to tranquilize elephants are attributing to the latest surge in deaths.

The findings suggest the opioid epidemic has taken a turn for the worse, as the nation is not prepared for the next parabolic rise in overdoses that could severely strain the economy and or government.

During the first half of 2017, the number of deaths with fentanyl analogs detected (1,511) nearly doubled, compared with the number during the second half of 2016 (764); deaths with carfentanil detected increased 94 percent, from 421 to 815. The proportions of deaths with fentanyl analogs or with carfentanil detected nearly doubled during this period.

Carfentanil is 10,000 times as potent as morphine, as standard naloxone treatments are mostly ineffective.

Nationally, the CDC expects 2017 opioid overdose-related deaths to surge to an all-time high of 49,000. About 60 percent of those deaths are expected to be related to synthetic opioids.

According to the CDC, there were 20,310 overdose deaths involving synthetic opioids in 2016, and that number is expected to climb 45 percent to 29,400 in 2017.

The epidemic is so concerning that opioid-related deaths have shifted the overall life expectancy rate for the US lower for the second consecutive year.
